We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to operate within one of our Community Warden Teams.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, whose area includes both urban and rural communities such as Ascot, Bray, Cookham, Datchet, Eton, Sunninghill, Sunningdale and a number of smaller villages.
This role is a varied and interesting one. It involves providing a professional uniformed presence to deter crime and anti-social behaviour, linking with vulnerable people, as well as joining in with activities and community events. You will need to be fit, alert, have excellent communication and observational skills, enjoy meeting people, and relish working outdoors.
You will need to be able to compile accurate reports, which are passed to relevant agencies and key stakeholders for attention. You will also be required to carry out enforcement duties on a range of anti-social behaviour, in particular littering and dog fouling.
You will be working in a team environment following a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends and occasional late night duties with the Borough’s Night Time Economy team. A full driving licence and use of a car is required for the post, for which a business user allowance is paid.
Previous applicants need not apply.
To discuss this role further, please contact either Daniel Bayles, Community Protection Lead on Daniel.Bayles@RBWM.gov.uk or Trish Canziani, Senior Community Warden on Trish.Canziani@RBWM.gov.uk on telephone number 01628 796337 or 01628 685651.
RBWM has the responsibility for and is committed to safeguarding children young people and vulnerable adults and for ensuring that they are protected from harm. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS.
