The Royal Borough has a number of exciting projects taking place in its area including urban and waterway regeneration projects. This training position offers candidates a chance to gain experience in a wide range of plan making tasks including preparation of the 3 different types of Local Plans, neighbourhood planning, SPD preparation, infrastructure and monitoring work along with evidence base preparation. Not only will you have a diverse, interesting and challenging workload you will have the opportunity to study for a planning qualification to open up career possibilities as a professional planner. There may also be opportunities to be involved in affordable housing and CIL work.
We operate flexible approaches to working including a mixture of hot desking and homeworking for planning personnel.
