The council is set in a major tourism area with tourist attractions including Windsor Castle, Legoland and Ascot Racecourse and with the Royal Family on the doorstep, the borough played a major part in the Royal Wedding last weekend.
We are looking for dynamic and experienced person to fill our Programme Lead – Living Well role to complete the Public Health structure within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead (RBWM).
The post will play a key part in managing and ensuring delivery against the new mandated responsibilities of local authorities in public health. The main focus of the post is to lead on the development and implementation of the Living Well Strategy and coordination of the Living Well Board. Within this role specific portfolio areas will include workplace health, mental wellbeing and cardiovascular disease prevention.
The RBWM structure has matrix arrangements with the rest of the Berkshire unitaries, and the shared team with a Strategic Director of Public Health. Each borough has a Public Health Consultant, Public Health Officers, with an administrator to underpin the delivery of the public health agenda.
Applicants should have a track record of successful delivery ofpublic health programmes.
