Vacancy Description

Optalis is a local authority trading company owned by and delivering adult social care in both The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead and Wokingham Borough Council.

For this role you will support and enable our Day Service customers to undertake activities within the community in order to develop personal potential, their skills and abilities. A big part of the role will be promoting independence and social inclusion, as well as providing care and support to customers through individualised support.

This opportunity will help you gain skills, knowledge and experience in supporting individuals to access community-based activities on either an individual basis or as group work. This will include individuals with complex and/or behavioural needs.

We are looking for someone who is proactive and able to use their own initiative to plan and organise daily activities.

You may be required to support customers on their journeys to and from venues and their homes; therefore candidates need to be over 21 years of age in order to drive our company vehicles (manual) for insurance purposes.

Please contact Kim Davis for further information on 07747 071669 email: kim.davis@optalis.org or Maz Burgisser on 0118 9693 455 email: marianne.burgisser@optalis.org

To apply, simply download an application form and return to recruitment@optalis.org

Applications should be received by 18 January 2018 23:59

Interviews can be arranged around candidate’s availability.

Optalis is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our staff and customers. We would like to remind successful applicants that they will be required to undertake a DBS check and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
