Vacancy Description

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated licensing professional to join our extremely busy team of licensing and trading standards officers here at the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.

Your role will involve the administration and enforcement of the Licensing Act 2003 and the Gambling Act 2005 so knowledge of licensing legislation and experience of enforcing regulations will be required. You’ll be responsible for processing a variety of licence applications including alcohol, entertainment and gambling.

Ideally you will also have experience and knowledge of taxi and private hire driver and vehicle licensing and so be able to support licensing officers in their administration and enforcement of the legislation that applies in this area.

You’ll also investigate complaints regarding licensed and unlicensed premises, give advice to businesses and take enforcement action including giving evidence in court to obtain compliance.

With Royal Ascot, Legoland, Windsor Castle and a host of other local attractions we can provide a vibrant and diverse working environment so you will need to be a team player, able to work with a range of partners, as well as be able to plan and carry out your own workload.

RBWM has the responsibility for and is committed to safeguarding children young people and vulnerable adults and for ensuring that they are protected from harm. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS.
